I can't find out what this is anywhere so I thought I would come here. I know you will know what it is. I started collecting wrenches a while back and came across a few of these. It looks like a part of a mower or turning plow maybe? If the picture doesn't show up copy and past this link to see the picture Link

I wasn't trying to be a smart azz. just given ya my best thought without a reference for size. I have seen stranger things????
As for moving yer picture I put you same properties info in the "Optional Link URL:" box, and typed "try it this way" into the "Link Title:" box. (You need not be so testy with me when I was only trying to help. I asure you, I didn't get a lot of things right for a lot of yrs, and still foul up occasionally. (my rant for tonite))

Sorry, I didnt mean to come off as testy. I thought you where pulling my leg and I was pulling back. That's the way these old geesers around here will do you if you don't stay a step ahead of them. Anyway, I had the picture up and now it's gone. I'll start another thread and see if I can get it back up. I put the URL in and it was there until this evening.

I swear, I've seen one of these things somewhere before. My mind tells me it's a shingle splitter. A handle fits on the knob pictured right in an upright manner. Then the blade is struck with a wood mallet reinforced with rings about the head.
Could the proper name be called a froe(?spelling).

I'm not sure if your trying to be funny or serious. I know it's part of a farm implement just not sure which one. It is not a froe, but I never even thought of it looking like one. It has a slight curve in the length and width of it. I've never seen a left handed froe before anyway, I guess all the lefties out there would be thrilled to actually have something made just for them.
