I bought this husker shredder at an auction last year. It is in very good shape and I have run some corn through it and it works fine. I am looking for someone that is knowledgeable about this machine. Am I supposed to run stalk and all through it or just ear corn with the husk? I am repainting it soon and want to take it to a show and demonstrate it with my "53 Cub. Thanks, Mark

I'm going to quote the words from my book writen by H.W. Wendel "The shocks were put though a husker-shredders. Husker-shredders were the machine that snapped the ears from the stalks, cleaned them on the husking bed and delivered them to a waiting wagon. Meanwhile the stalks and leaves were cut and shredded, passing through the machine, and into a blower which conveyed them to a pile or into the barn."
May have more infro if needed.

That is good information. I put stalk and all in the shredder and it chopped it pretty good. I don"t think I fed it to capacity and that may make a big difference. I had my "52 John Deere B belted to it and that is alot more tractor than is reguired. It is a 2 roll husker and I am told that my "53 Farmall Cub will run it. Any other info you may have or know where I can get it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to make a copy so I can post it near by when i am demonstrating it. If I can find the date of manufacture would be nice to.
Thanks, Mark

Sent email. But my book doesn't list the b2.
But it has pictures of about 12 other models.
All shredders were made between 1898 and 1940.
