One coming up at auction. What I have found out about this model is 130 bushel, pto driven, single axel, single beater built in the 60's. What size is 130 bushels. 4x10?
What would a ballpark price be on one in fair working condition.

Thanks
Dave

Dave, I have a New Holland very similiar to the one you are describing. I find that parts are readily available, you can even buy a new floor kit, entire apron is available etc. In my area a working spreader of 130 bushel would bring $1500 if it is in decent working condition, decent rubber etc. Dealers ask that and more, even auctions will see a spreader bring good bucks...I guess there is a demand by small hobby farms and horse people to have a spreader. I am thinking of a bigger one just to hurry up the manure process on the farm , but I will be patient and hang onto mine until I find an affordable update. I believe mine is a model 327 which is a single beater 130 bushel so very similiar to the one you are looking at. I was lucky in that a friend updated size wise and wanted to get rid of his old spreader, asked $500 for it and I took it quick, I could get three times that for it, its in good condition, good tires, apron and floor....good luck, let the seller price it to you then you can haggle..you might use the argument that it is small by today's standards and therefore not in demand, not desirable by many and that devalues it considerable...good luck and let us know how you make out.....
