Hydraulic Lines for Westendorf WL40 Loader

I"ve recently purchased a Griesen value to operate my loader from within my cab. I am having trouble locating 1/2" solid hydraulic lines. Can someone point me to a company that will sell me 4 pieces of 10" metal hydralic tubing. Preferrably tubing that has threaded male ends on both ends. I will take care of bending the pipes to fit my application. I live in the Kansas City metro area and if possible, would prefer a company in that area, but would appreciate and contact any company that will ship to Kansas City. Thanks for your help.

Why don't you contact Westendorf, they probably have a kit ready made.

Since you have the valve mounted inside the cab- might want to consider fabbing a shield to protect you from oil from a burst line. Simple sheet metal cover would do. Kind of hard to exit the door real fast with oil bursting through your skin.

You won"t find hydraulic tubing that is threaded. It has to be flared and used with the apprpriate fittings. Schedule 40 pipe is what you are looking for if it needs to be threaded. Use the black pipe for hydraulics.

Just use black iron or galvanized pipe. Cheaper and easier. As long as it holds oil it doesn't make any difference what it looks like. I used to use hydralic hose for long runs. Worked just fine.

Thanks for the advice. If I knew you would reply, I would have posted on the Oliver page....lol....I can't remember the specific model number, but it is a two-spool model that cost me over 5 hundred 6 months ago. I have found a company that will custom make lines for me with flared fittings, but they are very pricy... 10 bucks a foot. At 4 times 10 feet, that's 400. I was hoping that somone still had some of the older lines around with threaded ends, like the kind on my older Westendorf loader..... I'll keep checking. Maybe someone else can do it cheaper.

Maybe I'm missing something here? How come ya can't just use 1/2" galvanized like everyone else does?

Why do you have to do the custom-made pipe bending routine?

Pipe 'er up and be done with it.

No doubt you mean 1/2 inch steel tube. Those lines with ends are usually custom made. Your best bet may be to find someone who has a JIC flaring tool for the 37 degree ends and put a nut on each end. What model Gresen valve do you have? Questions?
