What are the differences, and if both were in very good condition which would you choose?

I would go with the 328 baler. It's newer and has a little more capacity. The 336 baler became the new 327 and the old 346 became the 337 when the new 347 baler came out. The 347 was the only new baler in the line at the time and everything moved down a knotch. The 327 later became the 328 baler.

Those balers are the same basic design, just differences in age and capacity. The 328 is the currently made lowest capacity baler manufactured by Deere. The 336 is several series older, but at the time was a medium capacity baler. With time comes some improvements and so its quite possible that the 328 will have the same capacity as the 336 and just be newer. Its hard to tell without them both set up working in the same field. If the price was the same, I'd probably go 328, as parts will be easy to get from Deere for some time most likely. You never know when they'll eliminate some parts for an older baler. On the other hand if the 336 is a lot cheaper those are solid balers and would serve you well.
