I've never operated a disc mower, but it seems to me that the way to go would be a Vermeer for safety or a Kuhn for quality.

This is a 7'10" shaft driven mower. The cutter bar is made by Lely. The disadvantage to this mower is the heavy metal top. Also though this does make it a safer mower. The Vermeer blades are the toughest in the industry.

Not every 6020 has a Steel top.
