Has anyone built a track eliminator for a JD 8350 drill? I would like to add one to my double disc machine, but the ones you buy cost a fortune.
Thanks
Ken, Tavistock, Ontario

Ken: I realize most things you could mount on tractor 3 point may interfere to some degree with turning. Did you ever think of two parallel linkages from a rowcrop cultivator, mount them backwards on front of drill frame, incorperate a lift from your drill lift, then mount gauge wheel and S-tines accordingly. Just hit me as I have 3 of these around, often wondered what they would be any good for with row crop cultivators being very much surplus. In fact I just advertized these for sale, but now that you gave me that good idea, I don't want to sell. Don't tell anyone, those are a dime per dozen across SW ON.

You mean to eliminate tractor tire tracks? Saw one at the local welding shop this winter. Single row of danish tines on 2 inch square tubing, activated with its own cylinder. Whole thing mounted on the drill frame and hitch. Two rows would allow for closer tooth spacing, but you might need to lengthen the hitch to allow short turns.
