Since the kids have moved on I bought a round baler. I have not done much with round balers, been making square bales all these years. So the question is what type of twine do these balers use? this baler is tha same as a 605F i'm told. So can I use some 9000? like in my NH 310?

Thanks

When I was baling with a 605F vermeer I used 9000 or 10000 sisal twine. In a pinch I used 16000, which is what I use now on my 664 NH. I was not selling hay, just trying to keep it togethr long enough to get it in front of my cows.

While you could, you don't want to.

You are looking for a 2000 twine - not quite 1/2 as thick as your 9000. Will go twice as far as 9000, plenty strong enough.

Comes in plastic, sisal, or a biodegradable plastic.

you don't need to. I use the light 110 lb 20.000 ft plastic. Just make sure you get enough wraps on.
