Can anyone tell me if you can still get wire for a wore tie hay baler and wherre it could be found? Also, is it possible to convert wire to twine?
Thanks, Jonathan

Correct me if I am wrong, but the later balers used 6500 baler wire--6,500 feet per roll and the old ones used 3,400 foot rolls, but it was a heavier gauge wire. Then there was the 3 man Case Slicer baler which used bundles of wire with a loop in one end of each wire.

The question is what Make & Model baler, the older ones used a small spool while the later ones used a large spool, the large spool is readily avaible but the small spool was not but I hear they are being remade by a different company. Go back about 2 weeks on this board and you will find a post by I believe it was by bcollector that had the phone number for them, look under my name and you will find the information under a responce to me

I don't know about converting a baler over, however, you can get wire from TSC and many other local farm supply stores that might be in your area...You can also find it on the internet as well
