Other manufacturers for bale wagons

I've looked at various sites on the internet for used pull-behind and self-propelled bale wagons. It looks like New Holland is the only one to ever build anything like that (and they still do). Anyone know of any other manufacturers of such bale handling equipment?

Just wondering.

I just checked, and Pequea in Eastern PA makes wagon gear. You might check for used wagons from them...
Also wengers of myerstown lists used hay wagons. I recently saw wagon running gear at a salvage yard near me in western PA. All you have to do is look.
I did a search on Yahoo for hay wagons and got results and also in Ebay. Is there a regional farming newspaper in your area. here in western PA and eastern OH we have the Farm and Dairy and in eastern Pa is Lancaster Farming. (examples) They usually have equipment classifieds listing stuff.

Hi When I was 16 (1982) my family visited Sweden - my sister had been there the year before on Rotary exchange. One of the farms she stayed on had a Kemper bale wagon - the same company that makes the rotary corn heads for self propelled harvesters. This wagon was a trailer style, the frame was rectangular. The wagon used a chain and a tubular cage similar to skeleton bale elevators which continuously looped around about 5 levels high. It picked the bales up witha short section that was just like a tube elevator. When the first bale reached the end of the track at the top, you drove to the barn, place a chute on the elevator, and started the wagon . The chain ran the same direction and pushed the bales off the top of the wagon, down the chute to the elevator. We inquired at the Kemper dealer I found in the Farm Shop newpaper -he was advertising the corn heads - he said none were imported because New Holland had a machine that they thought they couln't compete against. I know we would have bought one if they were available because I'm sure they were a lot cheaper than a New Holland because of a lot less mechanism, etc. Ken from Tavistock, Ontario

I think he is talking about the self loading and unloading units that can either unload in a stack or put one bale at a time on the elevator while you are in the mow to stack them and they are made to pull with a tractor or the larger units are mounted on a special made truck running gear, not a wagon for just a bed. New Holland is the only company ever to build that and they work slik to pick up the bales dumped in the field, just drive and it does all the work.
