I want to get the part number for the rollers that the press rolls on in the 280 baler, and would like to know if all the square balers have the same rollers on the plungers/press. I have a parts baler that is a 78, and would like to know from someone that has experience with changing these rollers. Thanks; Gaplowboy

If you are going through the effort to pull the plunger and change the bearings, do yourself a big favor and buy new ones to put in it. Replacing used up 34 year old bearings with 37 year old bearings seems like a supreme waste of time to me, even if they happen to be the same bearings.

Thanks Rick..... how much did the new rollers you changed out cost you? Were You able to cross-reference them to an industrial application?

Thanks for the reply; Gaplowboy

From the parts book for a 280 baler their are 9 plunger bearings #44457 they are a bearing with a bolt attached and 1 plunger roller this looks like a bearing with a bolt through it, the # is 56617. These may not be the current numbers for these parts, this parts book is 45 years old. Hope this helps. wayne
