New Holland knotter question

I am selling a knotter on Ebay and I am getting questions I am not 100% sure of the answer.
My understanding is that the standard knotter from a NH68 sould fit all NH balers that use a standard knotter. Not sure about the NH66. I know they make a heavy duty knotter but I dont know what models they are.
Question I have had is about the NH271 and 273. I would assume it would fit those.
Any help on this would be great.

The knotter on the 68 will fit the other models mentioned besides the 66, 76,75,73 of course it will not fit on the newer models like the 575,326,515,etc. with the new heavy duty knotters. Hope this helps.

I, too am unsure about the 66. But a New Holland standard knotter is just that. Fits 68 and up including all 2xx, all 3xx except 326w/ heavy duty (and possibly 320 w/HD?). Even the 565 and 570. You should match billhook rollers to the knotter frame and if you are really into picking nits the pinions should be matched to the cam gears.

I have a 68 too, and when we went to replace the knotter it was a different part # then "most" all the knotters,but when we held them up side by side they were the same thing. I am 99% sure they are the same.

I dont think thats true. I have a NH 268 and it has the exact same knotters on it.

The knotters have all the same frames and such, but the way they mount on the 200 series are different. You can"t just unbolt them off the 68 and bolt them on the 200 series. You can take them apart and restack on the 200 series shaft, with the correct brackets. I know, I had to do it. moved them to a 269.
