I recently found an old spreader and was wondering if anyone could tell me when it was manufactured, roughly. the tag says "New Idea Farm Equipment Co. Coldwater Ohio
No. 12A
Lot No. 354
serial no. B-78162
I'm curious, because I have a 42 DC that I would like to take to shows and parades and thought it would be nice to drag an implement along as well. Thanks in advance.

Darn nice spreaders, parts are still availble through a number of places including specialty shops. The Amish in my area will always choose a NI over any other. The double beater widespread does a great job.
