What is the approximate weight of the largest bale the 566 puts out?

Was there a big improvement in the 567 over the 566?

How reliable is the net wrap - do you have to stop a lot to "get it going properly? I have never baled with net wrap and was told that the early net wrap balers had a lot of problems.

I am considering buying a 566 and wanted to know if they got that problem taken care of.

Thank You,

Larry

Larry, net wrap is alot more reliable now than when it was introduced. It does help protect the hay from moisture. It is much faster than twine to put on bales. Downside is netwrap cost about 2 1/2 times as much as twine. It is unforgiving in if bale is not perfect netwrap makes it look worse(IMHO). People handling bales have to be careful as it tears easier than twine. Nearly all custom balers around me use netwrap but I will quit custom baling before I use netwrap again! Tx Jim

Larry, The largest bale a 566 will make is a 5'x6' bale that weights 2,200 lbs. They are a good baler. We have sold many 566 and 567's at the dealer where I work. Some of the big improvements they made on the 567 are as follows. They introduced the megawide pickup on the 567. The monitors are also different. On the 566 they have 8 bars to show the level of the bales (what side you need to drive) like the 535 had the needles and gauges. The 567 has 24 bars now. We have been selling more and more surface wrap balers and they have been pretty good. Where are you lookin at balers at?? Maybe we can make you some deals on the used 566's we have on our lot.
