I'm looking at a John Deere 346 that looks good. What were or are any problems with it? What year was it built? Value? Thanks for your time!

Well, Joe, I guess no one wants to voice an opinion. I bought a used one (twine tie) after
using a 214T for many years. The 346 has lots more capacity and was very dependable. I think they were made in the 70's and 80's, followed by the 347 and then the 348, which I believe is still being made. Value? Around here it depends entirely on the condition. I've seen some sell at auction for $1000 -$1500, about shot, to twice and three times that in very good condition. If you want to know what dealers are wanting for them, check machinefinder.com
Good luck
