JD 7' Drag Disk

I have a 7' drag behind disk - JD. At least i think it's 7'. The front section is 84" and the back section is 92". One of the bearing housings is broken. Does anyone have any idea where I can get something like that?

I'd also like to trade this disk for a 5' or 6' disk that would fit on my trailer without taking it apart.

What you have there is a John Deere JB or JBA disk. I have one of these that we got new in 1953. If the disk has 28 blades, it is/was called a 7-footer. The parts catalog shows the JB made 1940-49 and the JBA from 1949 forward. My early 1960s John Deere catalog still shows the JBA disk.

Look closely for the JD ID tag. Does it have the model number??

Where on the disk would I find the tag? I only found some green paint when I was working on it. There is a picture of it under the implements section of the photo ads.

John Deere did not put tags on implements but it looks like the light weight Deere disk but I can't think of the model no. now and for size you measure the width of the back gangs and thw width might be like 7'6" or 7'3" or something like that in measurements, not just a foot rating

My JD offset disk was made back in early 1950s and it has an aluminum, rectagular tag, rivited to the frame, with Model Number and Serial Number.

I can't find the picture he is referencing to, so I guess I can't help without the name of the picture or something.

I found the picture he is refering to and his disc is a 30's-40's vintage and that model never had a tag, only in late 50's did tags start showing up and then in 60's when they got to be a regular item. I think the first letter in his model is a J, I know it is not in the KB series and it is a 4 gang light weight drag disc sold for the small model B JD tractors, if I would have the time to dig that hard I could find a complete model no for it and the measurement he gave for it would make it a 7 1/2' size
