Gehl 2340 Mower Conditioner - Info Please

I have been alerted to a Gehl 2340 Mower Conditioner that has been traded in, anyone know much about it?

Shaft driven? Dealer says it is 9 ft wide and much lighter than the Kuhn's he was showing me.

I am honestly looking for an old NH 409 which is supposedly a 7 ft shaft drive model.

We have barely any hp to be playing with disc mowers, I've got 45 pto and our partners have 52.

Currently using a NH 489 mower conditioner.

There are 3-point disc mowers that you could pull with your 45 hp. I have a Vicon 7'10" model CM247 and it was a little over $5000 new and I can pull it with my 42 pto hp tractor, it would be better if I had an extra 3-5 hp but I cut 100 acres with it last year. Next season I am going to try it on my Oliver 1955, I know it is too big, but I am gonna try it.

We have run a New Idea 1109 discbine with a 2440 John Deere the past few years. As long as you're cutting alfalfa or clover it does fine but when you get into thick grass hay especially if it has a lot of undergrowth, it would bog the tractor down. Personally I would stay away from a discbine/MoCo machine unless I had 65 hp+ to run it with.

Noted and turned down the offer from the dealer. I'll be mo-co'ing for a few more years I think.
