What would be a fair price for a splitter in excellent condition.Hooks to tractor hydrauilc valve.Has its own valve.Don't remember the brand.Belonged to a good friend who recently passed away.

A new one like you describe from Northern tool is $499 as a refrence + shipping unless you are close to a store.

Sorry to hear of friend's passing. I have been looking for about a yr. and they run $200-400 here in the South.

Where are you located? I am in the market still as I have a bunch of 20-24" knarled oak that needs cutting - hurricane damage. I am in N. FL.

Hi: I just sold one on ebay for 335.00 in great shape. and another guy got 400. + for one that was not as good as mine . So you really don't know what you will ge6. Good luck pops
