I am looking at a PT 10 hydro swing and want to know what its wortrh ,, looks to be in fair shape except for the auger .. almost twisted in half !!! the guy said to make him an offer ,, and dont want to offend him. It sits outside and he hasn't used it in a few years .. have a JD 485 so you can see why I need a new one ... in tall hay it works good but the second and third cuttings it won't get it all and tried to adjust everything from ground speed to height of reel . was told that John Deere didn't make a good haybine ??!! I have used a NH 411 discbine but can't afford that one with only about 30 acres of hay !! also seen some New Ideas but all of those have seen many better days for the money they wanted.. one needed crimpping rolls and the guy still wanted $1500. thanks ,, Wayne

I don't know how much a 1014 is worth but I ran one for 6 years. They are one rugged piece of equipment if maintained. The thing I didn't like is everything you cut has to go to the center and through narrow rolls. A New Holland has full width rolls which will not plug as easy. When the hay is really thick and tall the Hydroswing will plug up if you are not carefull.

A PT10 Hesston was not a hydroswing. Hesston made a 1010 hydroswing and a 1014. Whichever one it is be sure to check price and availablity of that auger. Some of that stuff is not available new and used may be hard to locate. Hope this is some help.
