I have a question for those in the know on corn pickers. Also can one tell the age of the machine by the serial number?

What year or years was the New Idea 325 picker with the 12 roll husking bed made?

Thanks Larry

325 and 324 started production about 1965 and were made with various updates until about 1983. The lot # inscribed on the tag (under the pto shaft near main gear box) can tell you what year it was made, by looking in dealer books. I had a dealer do this for my 323, 1970 model. 326, 8 roll husking bed, 327, 12 roll bed. The tag on the back of the husking bed has these numbers on it.

If I recall the 325's were made in the later part of the 300 picker run by New Idea. The 325's were for 30in. rows and 324's were for wide rows.
1960's to the end of the run. They were the best there was in they're day
