How can I tell what Woods Deck I have? Need belts.

Most of the paint is worn off. Is there a ser # on it? Need to get a belt and parts and hopefully a manual.

Thats a L306. You can download a Manual from the Woods Site. You will wind up with one very long belt. And your going to need the Manual to get the routing correct.

Scott: What color is the paint that is left on there? My mower is the old 59 model and color is kind of a pale yellowish orange. All L59 models I have seen are white. I think the difference on those two models is blades turn opposite direction. My mower has a serial plate, thought I had that recorded here in the house. All I see is the blade part number 6950 KT. I am going away early in morning, will be home about mid day. I will check those numbers in daylight and get back to you.

Here is a pic of it if that helps. 6' cut, blades spin ccw when sitting on the tractor looking down. I guess left hand discharge, right?

That picture looks almost exactly like my L59
including the color. If that center pulley has 3
sheaves, it takes the looong belt. quite expensive,
and almost impossible to put on without written
instructions.

Yep, it has 3 grooves, Im trying to find the gear to hook it to a Super A. I have the back pully assembly. Would you know what else I need? Doesn't it need a tensioner assebbly somewhere on the deck for the blade belt? The looong one?

The picture looks like you have most of it.
There is a big Heavy 3"tube with brackets to bolt
to the Axle Housings, the tension pulleys are on that. It is lifted with a piece of steel about 12" long that fastens on the hydraulic arm, and
connects with a chain to the mower deck. You take
the flat belt pulley off the tractor and an about
12"dia. v belt pulley goes on the splined shaft.
Then the expensive belt.Those pieces in the bottom
of the picture with all the holes thru them
mount to the Heavy 3"tube. I don't have the
eqipment to e-mail pictures or I would. I don't know if my blades turn cw or ccw An earlier post
said the bolts will come out if the are blades are turned the wrong way. I can tell you my blades
are held on with left hand thread bolts.

Scott: The 6' model would be neither RM59 or an L59. I think you should resubmit the question stating it is a 6' model and tractor it is to fit.

The only 6' I know of is the 305 or 306, ( not both just don't remember the last digit) Ask the question on the Farmall page, all kinds of guys there have that 6' mower.

How wide is the mower.If its 4 feet it could be a RM48. 5 feet it could be a RM59.I have a RM59 Woods dealer wanted $72.00 for a belt.I got one from a John Deere dealer for $40.00.I only difference it didn"t say Woods on it.My RM59 is yellow and the top is white.
