Considering the purchase of a Westendorf loader model TA29, to go on a Massey 6290. Anyone have any experience with? Will be used to feed hay with, will have little if any other use as I have a bi-directional 276II.

Good loader!! they mount on the frame rail of tractor & thats where I found problems with the loader. After years of use the frame rail cracked. Not a big deal really, Weld & plate the frame, paint & been good for another 15 years. Good luck.

Bill, My neighbor has one of those on a fwd Ford or it might be a TA 26, can't remember for sure, and he has had very good service out of it. One thing nice about Westendorf loaders is that they sure have a nice selection of quick tach buckets and easy to change. They are a good strong loader.

I have had a TA26 on an 806, then put it on a 560, and now it is on the third M. Very few adjustments to the mounts as the frame rails are the same width. Fine loader. Took the single hay spike off the top rail, moved it to the bottom on one side, got another bolt on spike, now have two spikes, bales don't roll, and can use like a fork lift for other stuff too numerous to mention. The only down side is I gave too much for the thing or maybe I was led down the garden path. $4300.00 put on. It's a real good loader, but I think there are others just as good especially for just feeding hay with and a whole lot cheaper. Good Luck, Harley
