I was hoping someone could answer a few questions about my Gehl grinder. The first one is about what model I have. On the tank ther is a plate with 55 stamped on it and then a serial #but on the trailer part there is a plate with a 65 on it then a serial #. So I was wondering what I had a model 55 or a 65 or if there was any difference in them. Also the tank on it is fiberglass I was wondering if Gehl made many this way or not It's the only one I've seen like that. Finally I need to replace the set of 8 belts that drive the grinder is this something I can match up at auto parts store or will I have to order them through a dealer. Thanks Bill

Years ago I had a Model 65 with the steel tank- not many fiberglass around. The mill (grinder portion) had a tag ID'ing it as a Model 55 mill. I would not look for belts at an auto store- too much variation in lengths. Dealer sells them as a matched set so they all pull evenly.
