How do I Work This Disk???

Excuse my ignorance. I have an old pull type disk with two rows, probebly 6 ft. Right now the disks are straight but I want to angle them. The only adjustments I see are a hand crank on the front and something that unlocks on the tounge so it can slide forward. I know I have done a terrible job describing this but hopefully someone knows what I am talking about.

This is a disk without wheels, without hydraulics, correct? Pulls with a single drawpin in the hitch.

Old IH disks were like this. The front gangs are hooked to the rear gangs with flexable linkage, so you can turn.

Anyhow, that front sliding deal is the gang angle adjustment. You need to lift the lever or rope, and drive forward to make the disk angle itself more. In order to drive to & from the field, you back up the tractor (some you just back up, others you need to lift the rope/ lever - depends if it is square notched or ratchet angle notched). When tottal parrelel, the disk will roll on it's blades with very little cutting or digging.

If this thing has sat a while, for it's small size it might be froze up in that sliding hitch area, & you need to get it loosened up some. Oil, beating, etc.

If the disk looks like this: )))))))))(((((((((
the sliding tongue is the adjustment and the tongue is all the way extended. Find where you can unlock the tongue and back the tractor up to adjust the angle of the disk:
The center of the disk will go back and outer edges will be forward and the disks will be angled with max angle when the tongue is slid all the way back.

Look it over real close and you should find some place on each gang of disc. that have a way to move them forward and back. May take a little brain power to really see the big picture on it. Also a picture from the top looking down would help
