I just picked up a Ferguson Sickle Mower Type 6AEO-20; Ser. No. 35667. Anyone have any pictures, Manuel or information on this mower? I would like to get it working and use it on my M-H 50. Thanks John

the 6AEO-20, 6AEOA20 and the AEO-A20 are the same basic mower. You can get the manual from the n-news.com archives, as the AEO-A20 mower.

The 6AEO-20 is a rear axle mounted multi v-belt driven mower built for Ferguson by David Bradley from about 1941-1944. The 6AEOA-20, 6AEOB-20, and 14-1 3 point pto shaft driven mowers were made by Detroit Harvester Co from about 1945-1950.

Sounds like that is the Detroit Harvester made mower from the 40's and made with just red instead of grey paint with the Dearborn name on it, if it is what it is I think I have 3 of them here in parts and someday want to restore for show one in each format

Are you sure the model is correct? Could it be a 6AEOA-20 instead? Click on my name to email me if you need any parts for it.

The Type Number is definately 6AEO-20. I have a picture of the plate but don't know how to post it here. I don't know enough about it to know if I need any parts, other than new blades, which I have. Also, the wooden pitman bar, which I think I can make. Please send me your email address so I can send you the pictures. You may be able to tell me if there are parts missing. Thanks for your reply.

I have the Nov. 1946 parts manual for this
mower. Those exact numbers are on the cover.
This mower is the same as the 14-1 and 14-2
sold by Ford (dearborn). Parts may be easier
to get thru Ford. If you need any part #'s
Ferguson or Ford I will try to help you. I
have books on both. Chuck
