IH 100/200 manure spreader part needed.

A friend needs a part for an IH/McCormick spreader we think is a model 100 or 200, based on the photo in Wendel's book. He needs the large casting on the RH axle (1 3/4" axle diameter)that has the two cams that drive the chain. One of the cams broke off. Our local IH dealer says it isn't available. Anyone know of a dealer who might have an old stock part, or a source of a used part? Or is fabricating and welding on a new cam the only chance he has of getting the machine running?

Do you have a casting number on the part? I have one that I think has 2 cams,don't know if it fits a NH or IH but it is red,I will look tomorrow and make sure it has the 2 cams and see if it has any numbers.

I stopped yesterday to take another look at the part and found the guy had fabricated a new cam, welded it on with nickle rod and reassembled the drive. However, he would like to have more details on the part you have, if it turns out his repair doesn't work. There isn't any casting number on it. It has two cams, the 1 3/4" hole where it fits on the axle, it has two spring-loaded dogs on one side, and internal splines concentric with the axle bore in a hole that is maybe 3" diameter. Does this sound anything like what you have? Thanks for checking.
