Just started plowing with my JD #52 (2-12)plow. Only tractor I could find to use is Oliver 1600 (overkill). My question is what should the hitch height be for that plow? It just seems like I'm pulling from too high. Last year I had a Farmall 300 with a drawbar on the two-point and if I lowered it about 8-10 inches off the ground the plow worked better (rolled the soil better and tripped out of the soil quicker). Thanks in advance four all of the expertise!

Your #52 plow was made for the JD B and to be pulled with drawbar turned down which gave you a drawbar height of around 10 to 12 inches. Also the plows work better when drawbar allowed to swing.
