What were the models of mounted pickers that NI had and what years did they make them?

The early mtd. (1950's picker model numbers don't come to mind at the moment) had trailing husking beds on dolly wheels. In 1961, the the 305 came out, universal fitting type (NI spent a bundle on researching and testing this model)it fit older and present models. An 8 or 12-roll husking bed was available, along with a sheller and a field going grinder (for putting ground ear corn in the silo). About 1965-66 the 319 came out along with the 322 12 roll bed and was made like Heath said until about 1978. I will check for sure with a friend who was in charge of experimental field testing there.

My dad called on 319 picker that was for sale in a local paper. The owner claims he bought it new in 1978 or 1979 and that it is the last or second to last one sold in the United States. The picker could have been sitting on the lot a few years before he bought it.

Can help a little. In 1972, Dad bought a new 2 row mounted New Idea. The front gathering unit was a 319, the 12-roll shucking bed was a 322. These both had the newer, italicized nomenclature on them. I believe Avco owned New Idea then. A couple years later he bought a used 315 cage type sheller to match up with the gathering unit. They were not hard to change back and forth. Don't know the age of the shelling unit, maybe a few years older. It still had the older style nomenclature. These were good units, and were sold after ten or so years of use.
