I have an old McCormick Deering threshing machine, an old steel wheel planter, and an old steel wheel hay loader, is this stuff worth anything or should I just scrap it? Any help would be appreciated!!! or any other sites for these types of equipment!!

I definetly would not junk them. In fact where are you located as I farm with horses & antique equipment. Is the planter a McD. also? And has the equipment been stored inside?

I agree with the other's that say do not junk it!! Spend a little time to try to find a new home for the machines, they are getting hard to find. Last summer I had a guy stop who wanted to buy an old massey harris steel wheel plow that had sit in a fence row for 40 years. He had a plow collection and needed that model. I got the plow hauled away and made $40. You never know who will be interested, give it a try.

Any where near Le Seur? Check out their Pioneer Power days, you could sell it all there.

It will depend totally upon the condition of the stuff. If it is less than like new, you will _not_ make a ton of money off the stuff.

Old machinery collectiong is not like some of the other stuff, where money is no object. With machinery, folks want to restore stuff, but they are looking to buy it fairly cheap.

So, you could make someone happy & make a few extra bucks over scrap price by selling it. If all metal is there, I think all 3 of your items could make it into someone's collection.

Do not scrap the equipment. I restore McCormick
Equipment and I am always looking for new items to
restore or for parts to complete a restoration.
if you are interested in selling the items, please
list list them in the for sale list and let them become part of tomorrows heritage.

I have a wooden Avery Threshing Machine in my machine shed and need the space. Any suggestions on where I can find people interested in buying threshing machines for restoration?

Whether or not you should scrap it depends on the condition it is in. If it's been sitting out to pasture for 30 years, it might be better off going down the road. If it's been sitting under roof since new, it could be worth something. Run an ad either here or in a local paper.

The planter in any condition other than literally rusting apart is worth something if not for anything more than yard art. Some lady in town would pry love to grow her impatiens in the seed boxes.
