I'm just getting so sick of hearing of old vintage combines getting crushed or put in demolition- derbys. And you have to be retarded to smash up a running combine I mean really really RETARDED!! but everyone says after that there made into new machines. That is so F@#$$%g bull because new machines are not built like they used to and they are so complicated any thing can go wrong. We should start saving these old machines of all colors and most think its not practical hold on they collect tractors and cars that they made a half million of each model yet the old combine that served the farmer for years just gets smashed most not wore out!!!!

I feel the same way you do. In Kansas, there are lots of old used combines of almost every make and model sitting around in windbreaks, etc. The ones that aren"t smashed in demolition derbies are left to rot into the ground or cut up for scrap. I"ve seen some cherry old MH 26"s 27"s and Super 82 and 92"s that were stored their entire lives and really well maintained by their owners turned into junk by people who didn"t know better, just for a couple hours entertainment. It is really sad. At some point, people will recognize how rare some of these machines are and the value will go up.
