I know that a "snapper" corn picker harvest the ear unhusked I was just curious to what was the purpose of harvesting corn this way versus using a picker with a husking bed. Thanks for any info

I am looking for a picker with out a bed to pick shoepeg corn. People tell me that it does not shell the corn as much. Shoepeg is a long grain corn and shell very easy. That is what I have heard, after I pick I will know.I hope thay were right.
