Dunno if it's even worth my time to do it but I would possibly like to put a hydraulic motor on my 30 combine's reel.

I was combining my Grandpas rye last weekend and it was very, very hard to get the lodged crop into the header. I have driven a 9650 STS and R50 and I know how you can sometimes get large clumps to feed through with a powered reel. It's very aggrivating how when I stop, the reel stops.

Anyone ever hear of powering the reel on a 30? This is just my putzing around toy and don't really depend on it much but would like to run a couple dozen acres through it a year.

I wonder if I could just widen the Hume reel I have off a 12a and put it on to help feed lodged crop...
