More pull type questions....

Thanks for your advice on getting my pull type home. Next warm day I will give it a go.

I stumbled onto another pull type the other day, a Minneapolis Moline 88 Harvestor. The type I already bought was an Allis Chalmers 60.

I might need a spare, and was looking into an 88 anyway, so I most likely will buy it.

Now my other questions, what are the main differences between the AC 60 and the MM 88?

Are they both good machines or is one much better than the other?

Which one would you use and why?

Thanks

Depends on what you want to harvest. Both will do a good job when set right, but the rubber-on-rubber threshing of the 60 will be better for fragile seeded crops than the 88.

I would think locating parts would be easier for the AC 60. There were many of them made over a long period. he rubber pading makes the AC best for small seeds, like clover and fragile seeds like soy beans.
