what is the largest used combine I can buy for 20,000, with out the heads, preferrably the newest too

You should be able to get a 7720 Titan II with grain platform for that. If you want a cornhead with that too you may have to do a little fixup work.

You can get an earlier 7720 with both heads for close to 20k.

Depends on your location and how far you will travel. WWW.IRONSEARCH.COM has 4000 to 5000 used units listed. That should help you get an idea of what's out there.I'm looking at a JD 6620 sidehill with low hours (1670) with both heads for $19,500.

Here in Arkansas you can buy John Deere 9600's for that. Not many 20 series and 9500's around. Saw a 1460 with 20 foot head sell last week for $2500

Usually at auctions. 20 series are $10,000 to $15,000 with heads. Saw a 1460 IH with 20 ft head sale last week for $2500. Look at www.dewittauction.com
