I recently saw a sidehill JD 45 combine at the tractor museum in Brooks, Oregon. I didn't know that JD ever made a sidehill 45. Is this a rare one? I owned a 45 back in the 50's and did custom work as well as my own with it. I was aware of the 42 which was a pull type version of the 45 but never saw one. Ed

Was it a square back or round back? I have heard of them. Several years back a guy posted a message because he needed a drive belt for sidehill 45 and couldn't find one anywhere.

I read somewhere that there was an outfit in either Washington or Oregon that converted JD combines to hill side machines. They were successful, so Deere decided to make their own, first the 55H and then the 95H. Was there a 105H? Can't remember.
