Want to see some neat pics of the'49 wheat harvest around Vernon,Texas? Log on to the Russell Lee web site and enjoy the work of this great photographer. There's some nice shots of MH 21a's at work, a Cockshutt being loaded, what looks to be an IH SP123 getting greased plus grain trucks.

Mike,

I realy enjoyed the 49 harvest. My wife grew up close to Perry Kansas and my father inlaw knew Mr Hamm when he had one little pull type combine. He started out with McCormik machine and tractor. Grew into this fine harvest crew here. Thanks for sharing it.

Okay, here's the web site but it's quite long.
www.louisville.edu/library/ekstrom/special/stryker/wheatmain.html.
Alternatively you could just go to any search engine and type in "russell lee wheat harvesting".
Mike.
