Hydraulic pump info needed

I'm interested in adapting the belt driven hydraulic pump from a JD 95 combine to my old wrecker for the purpose of running a winch. The pump has what appears to be two pressure outlets, one larger than the other. Since I only need one pressure line, should I plug the unused one, run it to the reservoir, or tee them together? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks. Abner

This could be an old dual pump. That has 1 large suction port and 2 pressure ports ,usually one pressure port small than the other.

You could use one pressure port and just run the second port back to tank, Or rig the second pressure port to circulate thru a cooler if heat gets to be a proplem.

If you do need the extra flow you can tee them together, But the extra flow will also take a few more horse power to drive it.

Good luck
