Well fer DUH!

Feel dumber than a 55-year-old corner post.

The key to removing the mainshaft outer pulley on an early F2 Hydro is to reach up and pull it off..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..(by hand). Wasn't even pressed on.

Taper lock is in behind the goofy thing on the inside pulley. :>(

Yeah,

I let it cool back down and then soaked it overnight with penetrating oil.

She's comin' off of there; it just doesn't know it yet! :>)

Cant be any worse than a PTO shaft I have. Scrapping our feed mill, going to save the shaft. Beat it, no go. Skid steer out there, lets try that. Would you believe the skid steer couldn't even pull it off. It is "rust welded" gooooo ood.

Looks like you got some slobber on the pulley from beating your head against it.
When I can't figure out a problem, I go find a 4 year old. They usually solved these complicated issues in about 10 seconds. :D
Good luck with the repair!

John

Sometimes (more often than not) I'm my own worst enemy. :>(

However, me thinks I do see a tug coming with the puller when I get down to that bearing boss in behind that big pulley.
