BRRRRR R!!!!! !!!!!

I don"t know about the combine, but those pics make me shiver just to look at them!!!

Personally, I"m sick of the snow and ice. I want it to warm up and STAY warm, so I can get my vegetable farm growing.

What part of Washington are you from? Are you in the Palouse hills area? That looks like a pretty neat old combine.

Thanks for the pictures, Brad

We are in Spokane WA which is on the edge of the Palouse country. In fact if you stand on the hill behind the combine you can see all the way to steptoe butte on a clear day! We farmed 160 acres with that machine. The land is situated on 3 finger ridges so some of the side hills are a bit steep. My grandfather bought the land in the late 40's and cleared off the old homesteads and fences so he could raise wheat. He was from the Pullman area and was born in 1901 on a farm. He remembered farming with horses! He sewed sacks of grain on the combine/threashing machines before moving to Spokane in the 20's.

LOL thanks for the comments. This is actually a lot of snow for us! I think its the most since 1968. BTW the snow is free for the taking but you haul! :) Believe it or not there is a header in front of that combine! The county brought up a D-9 Dozer to clear and widen the road from all the snow and it worked for a good 4 hours on the roads around the house just pushing the heavy wet snow around. Today its in the 40's and melting. We are hoping it does not rain otherwise we may have quite a bit of flooding. The picture shows the snow pile at the bottom of the driveway to the farm house.
