I went to an auction today and way out in the back corner was a JD 55 roundback with a Herc engine and a non-folding auger. It had been there awhile and usually something like that sells for $10-30. It sold for $210 scrap must be way up. I had to pass on it for that price, espcially since the neighbor said that he had 2 just like it and a 95 that he would sell.

Yes I did and he wasn't home. I talked to his wife about it and I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up with it, I plan on trying him again tomorrow night.

I'll send you an e-mail with a yes or no on that combine hopefully tomorrow night depending on if I get time to call that guy on the model T and see what he is asking out of it. College is killing my combine fund. Out of curiousity when do you plan on going after that 123?

Scrap prices are up.About the cheapest I can buy an old non running combine for is about $100 a ton.

A guy out in Kansas recently priced me a non running early 55 JD for $50.I told him the junk man would give lots more than that so he said will you give $250 for it if he can get it running. He cut wheat with it 3-4 years ago.I will go look at it when I'm out that way.He doesnt want to see it junked.

In April 2006 I watched a running 3496 MM combine sell for $25 at Reading,KS.

Did you call about the Avery at Ness City, KS.I have another guy wanting it.
