1206SWMO,

When you post your fine pictures, do you try to work with the same size files for the most part? I"ve just recently got brave enough to email some photos to family as I learn my digital camera and its software. Even though I"m a retired engineer, it can still be somewhat puzzleing what these things can do! I have a lot of color slides of the JD 55 on Dad"s farm from the 1960s and I"m planning to have large prints made and also see if the photo place can directly load digitally from the slides to a CD. Then I can select and post a few here if I"m smart enough. :) I suspect that there are people who do this (slides or photos direct to CD) regularly (maybe such as yourself) who can give some much needed advice. I know there are instructions as to how to post to the internet that I"ve read and bookmarked so that part doesn"t scare me. Thanks again for posting all those fine photos.

55-50, The brains behind this operation is my wife (ex school teacher on teacher disabilty) and our 24 year old son whom have both messed with computers for about 18 years now.Its hard to stump our son.We call him in Kansas City once in awhile.

I have never messed with putting slides on CD's.I used to scan lots of old pictures and put them on our hard drive but our old scanner isnt compatible with our newer Mac Mini computer.

Every year at Christmas my son burns a CD with all the pictures that have been put on our hard drive in a years time.Sometimes its nearly 1000 pictures.I hope that our hard drive never crashes in the middle of the year.

For years I took pictures at 640 by 480 using a Fuji-Film Fine Pix 2650 but it bit the dust so replaced it with a cheap Samsung. It takes pictures at 1024 by 768 which are uploaded to our hard drive. Then I upload them to photobucket. It automatically down sizes them to 800 by 640.I then put them on here or elsewhere.

For pictures already on a CD,I upload them on to our hard drive, move them to photobucket, and then move them here.If you have problems maybe I or someone else thats much more knowledgeable can help you.Once you get the hang of it,its not that hard.Good Luck.
