Nice pictures.Thanks.

My neighbor has a 2007 Claas Jaguar 900 Speed Star with the 700 horse Mercedes engine.I dont know what all went wrong but there have been some problems. It looks like hes getting out of the chopping business on Jan 16th but then lately I've heard that it wont even be on the sale.

1206, that machine only had 330+ hours on it maybe it got pulled due to bankers minimums that are unreachable so borrower is responsible for the debt so they wouldn't take the money and pay on other debts before thiers,German financial institutions have some pretty bullet proof contracts that basically lockup everything until thier bill gets paid. Deutz and Daimler does the same thing some people have been known to lose all thier holdings i.e. homes and farms unlike US instituions that take what they get and sue the borrower for the rest in this case they come first avoids court fees and added costs.

From what I hear the chopper has been broke down all the time since it was new and he has a law suit against Claas. It cost over $400,000.

856, there was a post about this machine that had a You tube video on this Claas Jag in Germany and man what a machine? I have it at work if you want a link let me know. Most awesome thing I've ever seen looks like maybe 10 rows at a time using a disc cutter head he was going so fast I couldn't tell for sure!

Seen the same sort of outfit at Mason Dixon Farms near Gettysburg Penn ,Very progressive farm. I was there in 2002 for FARMLAND Preservation Tour.I would not doubt that they have a website

we chop 8 30" rows or 20' of corn and for hay we put 5 15' windrows together. speed in good corn is 4.5 to 5.5 and 250 tons per hour apx. the bad part is 25 gallons of fuel an hour

I don't doubt the fuel consumption what number is that machine? Should be in kw which is 75% of hp or 1.3333 X kw.

it a claas jag 900. it has 605 hp v8 mersadies [spelling?] we had another chopper with a 3406e cat making 525 hp. that would burn the same fuel but 50 ton per hour less. its mostly been a good machine
