This picture kind of makes me sad.Three old Massey's just sitting there slowly rusting away. They are old and out of date and no one wants them anymore. They probably arent in that bad of shape.

One is a 92 and the others are 21's or 21-A's.

the old rule of thumb is you will lose more grain from too little air than too much, keep the trash floating and the grain will come down

thankyou for all your help. it worked. keeping machine full and more air really seems to help seem to get more trash in tank on end rows and such. CT--- the gleaner has all the bells and whistles, but some of them do not work, including the grain loss monitor, will have to try harder to get it staightened out. thanks again, Ray

Leland, maybe YOU need the help there. I said NOT to waste those salvageable parts and then recycle the rest. What's so "fun" about something so dangerous as a combine demolition derby?

Take that 760 over to Spallinger's where it belongs!

Re: all crop combines in reply to iowa_tire_guy, 01-16-2008 16:59:49
I know when harvesting clover the drapers will save more seed then the auger combines with the chain drag to feed the cylinder. Iv harvested clover with both and the drapers are by far the best. Speaking of the newer combines with the draper headers i operated a R-65 Gleaner with a 30' and 36' draper heads and loved them. We had a 30' auger head running next to the 30' draper and the draper machine could go a good 1 - 1.5 miles faster and hour because it feed in so great.

Hope this helps

Where? What is the white and orange marker in the foreground? Maybe an underground gas or oil pipeline?

The picture was taken on the 2005 wheat harvest run by a college student on a harvesting crew.It was taken somewhere between Nebraska and North Dakota.

Looks like what the military uses around here to mark buried cable.
