I guess Im gonna go pay the new negotiated price of $2000 for the 105 I looked at last week. Here goes a big money pit?

shoot! i got an old 95 gasser fer that price. hadn't been used in over 7 years. had to put some new gaurds on the bean head and get some new elevator "doors", set up the concave and some other stuff but i can't kick on that. besides teh rad. went out halfway through harvest. oh well. they were good combines as far as i know, the old 105's

Go for it Nathaniel.In your area I expect that 105's are scarce.In the high plains area just to the west of me,a 105 would be easier to find.

I've heard of a 105 diesel hydro somewhere around here for $3000.I have a picture of one to put on here.

Our experience has been good with our JD 105 . Yes it need work, and yes the NOS parts were expensive but my advice is to find a donor combine ASAP and avoid Mother Deere’s new parts when you can. Their are many good new and used parts around here in former 105 owners sheds but we often find out about them after the fact.
