I believe the 344 corn head is the max for the 3300 capacity and weight wise. Is this correct and has anyone seen somebody put a 444 on a 3300?

It will physically fit, though the combine would need a lot of weight on the rear wheels/axle. the combine would handle it in corn up to 100 bpa or so, then you'd run into problems with overloading the chaffer and sieves, and it'd be SLOW going. I wouldn't recommend it if you can find a 344. I once picked a 10-acre field of 185-bushel corn with a 95 and a 643 head. It was dry, and had plenty of power, but had to go very slow to keep the corn in the combine---think 1st gear.

I had a neighbor who ran a 444 on a 3300. I never actually saw him operate it in the field. But, it would have to have been very slow going. Although, he said it wasn't too bad. He ran it for a number of years. He eventually put the same head on a 6600. I'm sure the rear end of a 3300 would need weights with a 444.

3300 is a 2-3 row machine, like a Gleaner K, IH 315, etc. Would be in grandmagear. Wouldn't be surprised if it would fit, since JD heads were easy to mount on many machines. But in mud, where you can take advantage of a higher ground speed with a smaller head..... ....
