Need Help from Someone Who Knows Gleaner Orange Corn Head

I was working on the overload clutch that runs the rolls on my Gleaner 330 orange corn head. The previous owner had bolted it together! Fun stuff. So I got new springs and went to the page in the owners manual on adjusting the clutch. Guess what? I'm missing page 17 which is the page the information is on.

Does any one know how the springs are supposed to be adjusted for the over load clutch? I'm going to guess there is a specific length the springs should be compressed to.

Thanks!

I used to have a 330 orange corn head and had a hard time getting the cluch to drive the head in anything but ideal conditions. I bought all new pieces, adjusted the spring compression so the ratchets would just barely slide by one another, and that clutch still would not drive the head unless the corn was perfectly dry and mature. I had found the pieces to double the number of springs, but traded the gleaner for a green machine.

I have an orange 430 head, but no book for it. Could look at the slip clutch tomorrow. But, I just had the clutch open from the black 630- each clutch uses 6 bolts, running 3 rows. Works fine with about 3-4 threads showing past the lock nut. I was surprised how little space was left between the 'curls' of the spring- they need enough room to compress before the clutch can slip. Nuts were loose about two turns before final set.
