Just wanted to say I've finally got the case 402 corn head rebuilt and running. Today was the first chance i got to use it and all I can say is theres no comparison between it and the John Deere 45 with a 210 head that I'd been running. Thanks to everyone that helped with suggestions. and thank Greg for the parts and advice.

Its a nice change to be able to actually go through the field at a good pace. now if the mill was open i could finish harvesting. I"m very impressed with how the case handles corn. The cases use so much less fuel and run better than my John Deere ever did. As a result the Deere hasnt been taken out of the barn this fall; I think I"m gonna just sell the deere and run my 2 cases from now on. the other nice thing is i dont see a yellow trail in the fields anymore from the deere shelling corn on the snapping rolls for lack of the plates on above the snapping rolls; i guess the deere is too old for those. I"ll try to get some pictures on here if i can remember to take the camera to the field with me.

I was wondering how you where doing with it. With a two row corn head that machine will take corn as fast as you can give it.
