Heres is the 1420 working on some 35 BPA beans this afternoon. This is only the second time in 10 years that the early beans have made over 30 BPA.I'm surprised as we only got 3" of rain in Aug and Sept and had alot of heat. With some timely rains they could have made 45 BPA plus but then we never get timely rains.Did I tell you that I have them sold for $6.25 when the current bid is $8.50.That banging sound you just heard is me hitting my head against the wall.(grin) I test cut some yesterday and they were 13.64 moisture which is a 17 cent dock.I hope that they have dried down some more. The stems are green and its slow going. The elevator wasnt open today so I wont know until Monday. Heres what all happened today. 1 Went to the Case-IH dealer this morn to get a sending unit off the engine for the electric hyd.It was leaking oil and they had none.Put the old one back on and it slowed down some on the leaking. 2Broke a sickle section and lost a guard. 3Broke another sickle section and lost another guard. 4Broke yet another sickle section.Cut 152 acres last year and never lost a section. 5 Sheared an unloading auger pin. 6 The right side of the frame came unwelded at the main axle housing and the PTO rubbed a small hole in the bin.Went up and jacked it up and welded it back plus patched the bin.Cut until dark. I'm down to one truck as my 1969 IH Loadstar recently lost the clutch. My 1968 IH Loadstar had a new clutch earlier this year.I borrowed the neighbors 62 Chev 2 ton and filled it.I also put some beans in my clutchless 69 IH so cut 700 bu. Farming with old stuff sure is fun somedays. We have a real good chance for rain Sunday and Monday.
