Helping a friend... he bought a used Air Foil Chaffer for a JD 7720 Titan 2, now he is looking for one for a early model 7720 (Pre Titan II).. told they are different? (I am not too familiar with these machines.. family had them when I was too young to know much of them, and too new and big for me to be owning them)

I have never saw one in person, but it is supposed to replace the top sieve, flat on the top, approx 1/2" holes in it. Told the "cleaning apparatus" is on the botton side

He'd like to find a good used one, or a source to potentially get a new one if a used one can't be purchased. He was told have to get them from a supplier in Wisconsin now.

Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks, Brad gydefamilyfarm@hotmail.com / 734 915 4380

Contact St. John Welding in St. John, Kansas. They will build an airfoil chaffer for any combine. They built one for my old Gleaner K. I run the chaffer with no sieve in corn, and run it with a 1/2 round hole sieve in soybeans.

Randy,

it will fit a older 7720 deere correct? If so, where are you located? I am from se MI bu currently in IL working, and if it is what he is looking for, I may be asked to swing through on my way back and pick it up.

Thanks,

Brad

Randy,

The gentleman looking for this chaffer says he cannot get through to you on the number you provided. I can either pass his to you, or is there another possible number? I just spoke with him minutes ago and now he may want 2 of them, but says he has ben trying to get ahold of you for the past two days with no luck (says it don't go to a voicemail or nothing)

Thanks, Brad

I believe the company that makes them is located in Manitoba, but they do have dealers scattered across N.A. Try a google search. The Case 460 pictured further up on the forum is equipped w/1.

Hey Brad, just wondering if you still have that IH 80 combine that you were using on beans a few years ago? Did you have a pick-up attachment that just picked up the beans after cutting/windrowing? Or did you use it like direct cut where you had the reel that forced the beans into the cutting bar?

Matthew

Matthew,

I do not have it any longer. Very quick to recall it. I used it as a combine, not with a pickup attachment. What questions might you have? I ran approx 50 acres through it over 2 years time... It has been a few years, bu I still remember a lot, and I may have a book still... but ask away, and I will help as best I can .

Brad
