Dadgumit has that show already happened? I always thought it was after the Farm Science Review in Ohio! I know it moves around from year to year but I thought it was sometime in Sept. or was that from last year? Those beans look pretty advanced. Help me out here guys I'm hyperventilating.

The show does not move it has been at Rantoul all three years. I is put on every other year so next show is 2009. All you have to do is search "half century of progress" and you will have info save the web site link below.

The photo at upper left of their home page is reversed. It has the JD diesel flywheel on the right and the combine unloading auger out to the right also.

Great picture. Thanks. Those were the REAL men that ran those combines! No cabs, you just took the heat, dust, chaff and beards. Worse yet was the tractor driver on the old pull types - when you were going the same way the wind blew and everything came at you. I"ve done both, SP and pull-type, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Gosh he had to be standing within 50' of me when he took that picture, the 21 was doping a fine job. No pics from me because my camera was sitting on the kitchen counter, I forgot to pick it up on my way out the door.
